What is KumiQ?
KumiQ is an engineering standards platform. It gives software organizations one central place to define coding conventions, architectural principles and team practices, and makes those standards available to every team and AI coding agent.
What problem does KumiQ solve?
As teams adopt AI coding agents, each team builds its own instructions, workflows and conventions. Standards fragment, AI-generated code becomes inconsistent, and leaders rely on manual reviews to keep alignment. KumiQ replaces that fragmentation with one shared source of truth.
Is KumiQ an AI coding assistant?
No. KumiQ does not generate code. It is the standards layer that sits alongside the AI coding agents your teams already use, so those agents and developers work from the same engineering guidelines.
Who is KumiQ for?
VP Engineering, CTOs, Heads and Directors of Engineering, engineering managers, tech leads and platform engineering teams in organizations where several teams adopt AI agents, including organizations with strict quality, security or regulatory requirements.
How do I keep AI coding agents consistent across multiple teams?
Define your engineering standards once in a central place, then propagate them to every team and AI-assisted workflow instead of maintaining separate instruction files per team. This is the approach KumiQ is built around.
Does KumiQ enforce standards automatically?
Not yet. Standards-aware code reviews, which check proposed changes against your defined standards, are a planned capability. KumiQ does not currently claim automatic enforcement or real-time synchronization.
Does KumiQ provide compliance certification?
No. KumiQ can support organizations where consistency and traceability matter, but it does not provide regulatory certification or compliance guarantees.
What stage is KumiQ at?
KumiQ is an early-stage product working with design partners. Engineering leaders interested in shaping it can get in touch through the Talk to Us page.
